Hey!
Grandpa made an awesome lunch foer Liam...chicken and corn combo and separate peaches. Wow! He loved all. Yesterday he stuffed himself with some of my cheese omelette. He loves yummy things! Raina had a great day at school...her only concern is that she just doesn't understand why she had to leave her art project at school today. It was her valentine bag...I asked Ms. Payne because she (Raina) was upset while I was buckling her up. She doesn't seem to get it that she will get and give valentines next week...

Wednesday Wahoo!

Delightful children! Raina spent over an hour making "dream books" and valentines with grandpa. He's really into the heart bit. Liam traveled all over in cart and crawling. He pulled his "tummy mat" over on himself to get at the mirror better. I wanted a picture that said "when you know the mat is no longer needed". We keep his little toys on it. He also loves to pick up his board books...
Had bananas and oatmeal and apple juice and Raina asked for some cheerios with milk when she saw we were finishing breakfast. Also half a glass of apple juice. Now she and grandpa went out in the sunshine. We may go to Pete's for luch since this is "Lion's Day" Once a month Costas gives 7% of the tab to the club if you mention it at check-out. It's amazing how nice the sun is!!!

Tuesday

What a difference! Liam arrived happy and chatting along in his own way, hanging on to his just empty bottle. He has sat on my lap for 15 minutes, playing and smiling and is now terrorizing the kitchen. I love this "alone time" with him. This morning we have banana and oatmeal and apple juice on deck.

Monday morning

Children arrived at about 9. Poor Liam is really stuffed up and coughs a deep cough, even during nap. He slept a good hour plus and has had some smiles, although he still doesn't feel good. Raina has been all goodness and light...making us all "dream books" with tape and scissors and markers. Haven't the faintest idea where she got the idea...Star and Lucy????
Went potty alone and has been wonderful. Grnadpa and she are leaving shortly for kindermusik and grandma is getting ready for Liam's lunch. Breakfast was apple juice, oatmeal, and applesauce (out of bananas). Lunch will be yogurt and mashed potatoes and veggies with formula.
Liam seemed better after lunch. We rocked a little and he played well. His cought is bad, but loose, which I think is supposed to be good.

Thursday

Liam arrived bright eyed and set in his little moose outfit (so cute) at 8:30. Grandpa was already at school, subbing in math at the high school. Dad took Raina to school, so Liam and I are on our own. We read and played for a little bit. What he really wanted to do was race after Sophie in his cart. He was a tad cranky for laid-back Liam, but ate his almost all banana, 4 oz. of apple juice, and about half and adult portion of oat meal. He didn't seem quite so keen on it today, but maybe it's because I let him eat all his banana first. He and I are going to go up to the church for a little while before picking up sister from school. The ladies want to fawn over him and I have a couple "jobs" to do this week. Since the group has left for Mexico, I'm in charge of changing the banner, putting up the hymns and changing color to green. I'm taking his cart so he can tag along.

Wednesday

Little guy seems a little stuffed up this morning, so we are staying home...Big sister is off to Monkey Jo's with grandpa. It is still too cold out to do much exercise, and we're hoping she'll take a nice nap today with a little excitement in the morning. Yesterday she layed in there for over an hour and I just got her up because it was 4 and I thought we didn't want to go through one of those hard waking scenarios with only a few minutes sleep. She seemed pretty wired.
Anyway, this morning Liam had his oatmeal, apple juice and banana and ate very well. He didn't quite finish his morning bottle, which he brought with him. I think the stuffy nose made drinking a little more difficult. Maybe cutting more teeth??? Sorry I didn't finish yesterday's post...will try to chronicle better so you know what has been eaten, etc.
I'm starting a little routine with Liam where we read stories and play finger games in the morning before his breakfast. He loves those pictures of babies in some of the board books.
Then after breakfast is tummy time. He is playing on the floor at my feet. He's discovered that little plastic guitar thing that plays notes if you hit the buttons and he's tried that with the drumstick...what a musician.
Raina had a good time at M.J. and had a grilled chicken wrap on the way home. Then she ate a lot of strawberries, some peanuts, and a cup of milk. Little guy slept over an hour and was happy both going to sleep and waking up...better than the previous two days when he was crying when he laid down. (for about 5 minutes or less) He had crushed up veggies from some healthy harvest soup and some more yams and his formula. Now he is on the move, tummy wise and trying to get the paper next to the computer. He is so curious about everything~!
Grandpa and Raina are going outside for a bit to ride the bike. Liam and I will probably stay in.

Happy New Year

Raina went happily off with Grandpa to school and Liam has been read too, practiced patty cake, played on his tummy, and had a breakfast of apple juice, one half mashed banana and almost a whole serving of instant oatmeal, flavored with maple and brown sugar. He has had one bowel movement and looks like he might want a nap. He laying on the floor peacefully playing with a yellow drum stick. I think he misses Raina's action. I'm a little boring when I'm not holding him and playing. What do you think about giving up the morning nap? I'd like to take him to story hour on Wednesdays...the baby one...and he would probably only sleep a little in the car. Maybe not this week, but later...
